In January 2023, Rafael Devers signed an 11-year, $331 million extension with the Boston Red Sox, making it the largest contract in team history.

The deal includes a $17.5 million salary for the 2023 season, followed by a 10-year, $313.5 million extension covering 2024–2033.

Devers received a $20 million signing bonus, paid in $5 million installments each February from 2023 to 2026.

His annual salaries are structured as follows: $27.5 million (2024–2026), $31 million (2027–2030), and $29 million (2031–2033).

Each year, $7.5 million of his salary is deferred, payable 10 years after the season in which it's earned, extending payments through 2043.

The contract includes a $2 million assignment bonus if Devers is traded, payable by the receiving team.

This extension ranks as the sixth-largest in MLB history by total value.

Devers, a two-time All-Star and 2021 Silver Slugger, has been a cornerstone of the Red Sox since his MLB debut in 2017.
